When I got tired of drawing Rick Ranger and when I decided I had enough time to do more, I decided for this ambitious project. I REALLY like pirates and I wanted to do something that also payed homage to LucasArts' Secret of Monkey Island. This was my answer. You will instantly notice that I have replaced the original dialogue with dialogue I did on Photoshop. I intend to do the whole series, and maybe all the comics I have online.

#1 I was so proud of this first page of this comic when I did it. It was a big jump (O.K. Maybe not THAT big) from the really simple RR series.

#2 Wow, Moe is really short here, oh well I am an amatuer you know! Theres that "Tap Tap" thing from the RR comics again. Cool dead pirate crew huh?

#3 I love Bob's introduction: "My name is cutthroat Bob. I am a flying head! Ha ha ha!" I LOVE that! The captian's quarters look like its right out of Secret Of Monkey Island. Whaooo! Oh by the way, as you will notice (the garage door opener) this is'nt a realistic depiction of a pirate's life. DUH!!

#4 I think this (the second part) is the single best page of comic I have ever done. Big whoopie.

#5 Yaga, Stussi, Mossimo... he he he. I love making fun of popular culture. Oh COOL! dead rotting evil pirates!

#6 This was my way of wanting to make a new masthead. I love those things.

#7 All Struppy ever says is "Boo", no matter what he is actually saying. The fencing scene is right out of the Secret Of Monkey Island games (Don't sue me George!).

#8 This was just a way to make a cool drawing of a sunset.

#9 This was simply a filler. 8 Tons of Grog......Grog Grog Grog!

#10 In this comic and a couple others after it, you will notice I give specific names to the types of ships. This is due to the fact I was playing a computer game called High Seas Trader and I got to know the ships in the game. The booty is also counted at the end of the comic which is just like the cargo you play with in that game.

#11 The lemon scented statue that the crew finds is non other than the cannibal Lemon Head from The Secret Of Monkey Island.

#12 As you can see from the bird joke (in episode 11) and the evil pirate captian showing up when he is'nt supposed to  this comic makes fun of itself quite a bit. Oh yhea, and also the fact that our hero says that we will have to wait until the next episode to see what happens.

#13 Here you see James drink the poition and his eyes go all buggy. I have used this time honored bugg-out as early as the original comics we did in school. You can see the earilest example here in ASF # 19, Part 3.

#14 Geez, the golden arches are everywhere, even in golden age of piracy! This is the first instance of monley poop in the series, there will be more.... much more!

#15 Here we see the newly designed Capn' sloucher and his ship as well as James' newly designed Sea Monkey.

#16 Oh no!! As if being dead was'nt enough, poor Bob and Bill get what for from a stone dragon! Oh the horror!

#17 Just as a note I don't know my self what that little happyface with wings is. I just drew it once and well, it just stuck. Maybe its some sort of dead pirate bird...or something.

#18 Is that a Star Trek symbol as Mop Head Harry's nose?

#19 Holy Cow!

#20 The island gets it's revenge! Also note that the female captian is the woman right off the Secret Of Monkey Island package!
